Catananche or cupidone is a short-lived perennial plant of the Asteraceae family. Easy to grow, the catananche blooms from May to August. The white or blue flowers are carried by long stems. The flowers are used in the making of dried bouquets. The catananche is planted in dry and sunny soil.
