The Euphorbias were a bit slow to start but by mid-October they are still blooming and thickening up. Very large clumps.

Description

Euphorbia 'Diamond Snow' or Chamaesyce hypericifolia, is an airy annual that branches indefinitely to provide volume in a floral composition.

This novelty naturally branches to form a round and compact habit. Its stems are thin and bear small leaves that are 2.5cm (1in) long and tender green in colour. The Euphorbia can reach a height of 35cm (13.8in). The countless flowers are double and pure white. They appear in mid-April and last until the frost. This plant has a strong flowering capacity and can bloom in both hot and rainy weather.

Euphorbia 'Diamond Snow' can be planted in pots, containers, hanging baskets, or directly in the ground. It prefers a sunny or semi-shaded exposure. This annual plant requires warmth; below 14°C (57°F), it will stop flowering and its leaves will start to turn yellow. Please note that it is not a hardy annual.

In summer, we recommend avoiding substrate drying and regularly applying a suitable fertilizer to promote the plant's growth and generous flowering.

Our advice: You can associate it with all summer-flowering annuals, as well as with perennials, as it doesn't mind competition. On the contrary, it intertwines with its neighbours to beautifully enhance them with its delicate white bracts.

Note: Please be aware that our plug plants are professional products intended for experienced gardeners: upon receipt, transplant and store them in a sheltered place (veranda, greenhouse, cold frame...) at a temperature above 14°C (57°F) for a few weeks before installing them outdoors once the risk of frost has definitively passed.

Planting and care

In the summer, we advise you to avoid drying out the substrate and to regularly apply a suitable fertilizer, in order to promote the growth and flowering of the young plant, which is already very generous. In winter, you can bring the pots indoors to a frost-free conservatory, to keep them in a vegetative rest and water them 2 to 3 times a month (caution: the temperature should not drop below -1°C (30.2 °F) or the plant will not survive).
