Fescues (Festuca in Latin) thrive in sunny and dry soil, forming compact, semicircular clumps with firm, often green, blue, or grey evergreen leaves. Although some species are used for forage, the vast majority of fescues offer desirable ornamental and cultural qualities. They can withstand anything other than damp and clayey soil. They are comfortable in rock gardens and grow remarkably well on slopes or along gravel paths, or even in pots.

You'll adore them!
