Description

Cautleya spicata, or Himalayan ginger, is a rhizomatous perennial forming a hardy stump with a thick rootstock. Its straight and stiff stems carry sword-shaped green leaves. It displays orange-yellow flower spikes at the top of the stalks. A hardy species that is very easy to cultivate.
