Description

Collection of 2 hardy Agapanthus in white/blue duo in a bucket.

With good hardiness (up to -10°C (14°F) in well-drained soil), plant these varieties either in a large pot placed on a sunny terrace for abundant flowering, or in the ground. Prefer a warm exposure in a perennial bed, in a massif or border. They thrive by the seaside, in an English cottage, and even in a city garden. Over time, they will form stronger and stronger clumps.

Planting and care

Plant agapanthus by covering them with at least 10 cm (4in) of good soil so that they can resist the cold. It is essential to plant them in spring and mulch them in winter. For pot cultivation, use 5 young plants for a 24 cm (9in) pot and protect your pots in winter. They prefer a rich and moist but well-drained soil. Water them regularly during the growth period (twice a week). However, avoid overwatering them, they dislike excessive winter moisture.
