Lovely. The young plants have established themselves well, are healthy and have grown nicely in 2 months. Very satisfied with the quality of this field of plants.

Description

Brunnera macrophylla or the Great Forget-Me-Not, also known as Siberian Bugloss, is a perennial that grows in forests in Eastern Europe and Northwestern Asia. It is cultivated for its delicate flowers that resemble forget-me-nots and its groundcover habit that forms a thick carpet of deciduous leaves.

Brunnera macrophylla Mr Morse blooms in March-April and has magnificent white flowers arranged in paniculate clusters (conical clusters) at least 20cm (8in) long. At maturity, it reaches a height of 40cm (16in).

Very hardy, up to -20°C (1°F), this Siberian Bugloss has silver veined leaves, very similar to the variety 'Jack Frost'. The heart-shaped leaves can grow up to 15cm (6in) long and have soft hairs. They are highly decorative in pots and in the garden.

It reaches a height of 30cm (12in) at maturity. It is a good border plant and is well-suited for wild gardens or informal perennial beds. It pairs well with spring bulb flowers and perennials. Ideal when combined with tulips. Brunnera macrophylla 'Mr Morse' thrives in the moisture of partial shade.

Planting and care

Plant the Brunnera Mr Morse in a moist, humus-rich and well-drained soil. Place it in the sun or partial shade. Protect it from too much harsh sunlight and strong winds.
