Description

Perennial, floriferous herbaceous plants, always noticeable in a garden. Young plants grown in small pots with only one stem, often give poor results when planted, so we grow them for an additional year, in larger pots, to encourage branching, which promotes better establishment in the garden.

Note: From March to September, the stems of our delphiniums are pruned short to encourage better branching and achieve optimal rooting. This also prevents the stems from breaking during transportation.

Planting and care

Delphiniums are not difficult to grow but dislike heavy and wet, and dry and poor soils. The soil that suits them is fertile, rich in humus, non-compact, moist, even in summer, but not excessively wet in winter, and sheltered from strong winds. Under these conditions, they will live for many years. Beware of slugs and snails that can cause damage at the beginning of growth.
