Arrivée un peu fatiguée avec la seule young plant cassée, pourtant l’emballage était soigné !! Je l’ai faite trempée et l’ai replanté direct dans un pot plus grand !

Description

Dicentra 'Luxuriant' is a vigorous plant forming magnificent clusters of delicate, bright green foliage, finely cut like a fern at the beginning of the season. The clusters of purple-pink flowers are carried by slender reddish stems in spring from May to June. If the soil remains moist in summer, flowering can extend until September.

This miniature Bleeding Heart blooms from May to June and forms carpets of elongated bell-shaped purple-pink flowers accompanied by deciduous bright green foliage.

'Luxuriant' Bleeding Heart thrives in woodland settings and easily grows under deciduous trees, provided that the soil is moist in spring. In our partially shaded bed, we have mixed this dicentra with heucheras, tiarellas, carex, and tulips.

Dicentra formosa are robust perennials that only dislike excessive winter wet and summer drought. It is common for them to enter dormancy at the end of flowering; there is no need to worry, to prevent their disappearance the soil must remain moist in summer, be rich in humus, well-drained, and shaded. Most Bleeding Hearts go dormant at the end of spring, but this does not have any detrimental effect on plant growth.
