Description
Originating from the cross-breeding of E. purpurea x E. paradoxa, this introduction is the result of a research program conducted by the botanical garden of Chicago.
A remarkable plant, rather tall, with narrow but very long ligulate flowers, slightly curved backwards, of a pale yellow colour that is both vibrant and soft, topped with a large conical dark greenish-brown centre.

Echinacea hybrids are very cold-resistant and easy to grow in any moist, well-drained soil. They are less tolerant than E. purpurea and its varieties to very heavy and wet soils in winter.
