Feeble vine-plants and very wilted upon receipt: I'm keeping my fingers crossed for their recovery.

Description

Epimedium rubrum, is a perennial groundcover that grows 25cm (10in) tall with bi-coloured pink and white flowers. Epimedium rubrum has evergreen foliage, marbled with green and red in spring and turning almost mahogany red during winter.

It thrives in woodland environments and is recommended for dry shade. It forms carpets of evergreen leaves at the base of trees or bushes.

Plant it along borders or on shaded slopes, alongside other shade-loving perennials such as ferns, perennial geraniums, or ophiopogons.
