Epimedium x warleyense Ellen willmott - Barrenwort

Epimedium x warleyense 'Ellen Willmott' is a compact evergreen perennial with soft orange flowers on dark green foliage. 

These beautiful shade plants can be grown in flower beds or in a large shaded rockery, preferably along a path to fully appreciate their beauty. They all withstand temperatures as low as -12 to -13°C (10.4 to 8.6°F) without any protection. Western species are highly cold-resistant and can thrive in challenging conditions, such as dense shade under trees, very dry soil, or moist clay. Asian species prefer a consistently moist to wet soil in summer that is well-drained, rich in humus, and without limestone. They also tolerate dense shade. They all grow relatively slowly, but can live for many years without any special care.
