Description

The Euphorbia characias 'Emmer Green' is a variety that has green leaves marginated with cream-white. At the end of each stem, enormous cylindrical inflorescences of chartreuse green flowers (or cyathia) with red eye develop.

The characias euphorbias are very graphic perennials of tall stature, they form beautiful evergreen bushes about 1m (3ft) high. These plants thrive in very well-drained soil, associate them with rockery perennials and grasses in sunny borders.

Euphorbias are plants with an otherworldly appearance that create a beautiful effect in gardens, they emit a slight odor reminiscent of coffee, but be very careful with the latex contained in the stems and leaves, as it is highly irritating to the eyes.
