Description

A collection of 2 rare and beautiful hybrid hellebores: 'Madame Lemonnier' with large pink flowers, and 'Paradenia' with numerous pure white flowers on branched stems. These hybrids are the result of cross-breeding between Helleborus niger (the Christmas Rose) and Helleborus orientalis, combining the best of both parents! Very early flowering, starting from December-January.

Each hellebore, resulting from a sowing, is unique in flower colour: slight variations in colours may exist between two plants, which is normal and inevitable. However, if the difference is too significant and alters the desired effect, we offer a refund or replacement for the affected plant.

Planting and care

Hellebores grow in most soils. They thrive in deeply worked soil, mixed with a quantity of organic matter. To fertilise, use bone meal or another organic fertiliser. In acidic soil, add a little lime or two-year-old wood ash. Water the plants well after planting and then add a layer of mulch 2 to 5cm (1 to 2in) thick. Regularly remove wilted leaves. Be careful not to plant them too close to each other; they need space to develop.
