Description

Hybrid Hellebores are the result of various cross-breeding with H. orientalis and its subspecies as the main parent. All of them have a beautiful evergreen foliage with a glossy dark green midrib.

'Picotee' is a superb variety with pale pink, greenish flowers, with changing shades, veined and speckled with dark pink and a dark carmine heart.
This is a variety that deserves to be highlighted by planting it near a frequently used pathway where its spring flowering will enchant you.

Planting and care

It is preferable to cut back the old foliage to ground level at the end of winter, before the appearance of the flowers and new leaves, in order to avoid the disease of black spots and to preserve the plant's full splendor. It adapts well to any fresh soil, even clayey, preferably without limestone. The start date of flowering, which varies greatly from one region to another, spreads from February to April.
