Description

A plant with a creeping stump, often confused with the species guttatus. It differs mainly in its larger size, as it is not uncommon to see branches reaching 1 metre in length, especially near water. The leaves are round and lettuce-green in colour. The yellow flowers succeed each other for several months.

Attention, this plant self-seeds generously in heavy, moist, clay soil. In our garden, it self-seeds everywhere, even in the stream where it squats on the water lilies: what a cheek! Some authors who describe it as moderately hardy must not know Normandy!
