Description

We offer you a collection of 3 Phlox subulata or creeping phlox. It consists of:

1 Phlox subulata 'Moerheimii' in candy pink colour.

1 Phlox subulata 'Scarlet Flame' in deep pink colour.

1 Phlox subulata 'Candy Stripes' in white striped with pink.

Phlox subulata are very floriferous perennials that are completely covered with small flowers. They have a fast growth and are excellent ground covers for rockeries, wall edges, or in pots on a sunny terrace. The moss phlox, highly hardy, forms a compact mat of evergreen leaves.

Originally from the United States, Phlox subulata thrives in well-drained, light soil, even in dry and sunny locations. It is a robust plant. Pair it with Aubrietas, Saxifrages, or botanical tulips.

Planting and care

Plant your Phlox subulata in full sun or partial shade to the south - phlox are more comfortable in a cool climate in summer, especially at night. Choose a rich and well-drained soil, which you have loosened deeply. Phlox is sensitive to powdery mildew; make sure to maintain regular watering in summer as a preventive measure, and monitor its possible appearance for early treatment.
