Mauves boast blue, pink, white or purple flowers bearing 5 well-defined petals. The Mallow plants are familiar inhabitants of roadside banks, which they dominate due to their 80cm (32in) height. They thrive in well-drained, slightly dry soil, and prefer open spaces. Malva plants are easy to grow, and their long-lasting flowering brings joy to both beginners and experienced gardeners.
