Can I plant, first indoors, then in the spring transplant the flower outside? (anthericum liliago) Response from Promesse de Fleurs: I would advise you to respect the natural cycle of the plant and plant it directly outdoors.

Description

From its narrow leaves that grow in tufts, similar to grass, spring forth slender floral stems. They bear a multitude of pure white star-shaped flowers with graceful yellow stamens.

Anthericum liliago is a perennial of dry and well-drained soil, accepting both limestone and clay soils as long as water does not stagnate during winter.

Anthericum liliago brings light to flower beds when paired with hostas, ferns, and heucheras.

Planting and care

To grow the spreading St Bernard's Lily, plant it in a spot that receives partial shade, and ensure the soil is well-draining and rich in humus. If the soil is heavy, mix it with 1/3 sand and 1/3 gravel. After planting, water the young plant moderately for the first few months to prevent it from drying out.
