Bahco P123 fruit secateurs are robust, lightweight, and easy to use. They are designed for precision work. The narrow, long and tapered cutting head lets the gardener easily and precisely access thin stems hidden in vegetation. This model has comfortable handles that provide a good grip, as well as a shock absorber to protect the working hand from impacts. The cutting capacity can be adjusted at the blade level, and a lock located inside the tool ensures safety. These secateurs are perfect for picking fruits, flowers, and stem vegetables such as cucumber, melon, or tomato. Use them for harvesting, as well as for all pruning work that requires precision. The stopper and spring are available as spare parts (reference P123-19 BAHCO)..
Secateurs are an essential tool that every gardener must have, whether they maintain a small balcony, a patio, a small city garden, a large countryside garden, or an orchard. Fruit secateurs are composed of two thin movable blades that slide against each other when the handles of the tool are squeezed, much like a pair of scissors. This model measures 19cm (8in) long. Use the secateurs to prune green or living stems and branches measuring up to 1cm in diameter.

This tool is under warranty. This warranty only applies to the metal parts, except consumables (screws, springs, etc.), and within the scope of normal use. The warranty does not apply to handles or grips.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).

It will vary according to where you live:- In zones 9 to 10 (Italy, Spain, Greece, etc.), flowering will occur about 2 to 4 weeks earlier.
- In zones 6 to 7 (Germany, Poland, Slovenia, and lower mountainous regions), flowering will be delayed by 2 to 3 weeks.
- In zone 5 (Central Europe, Scandinavia), blooming will be delayed by 3 to 5 weeks.
In temperate climates, pruning of spring-flowering shrubs (forsythia, spireas, etc.) should be done just after flowering.
Pruning of summer-flowering shrubs (Indian Lilac, Perovskia, etc.) can be done in winter or spring.
In cold regions as well as with frost-sensitive plants, avoid pruning too early when severe frosts may still occur.
