The English Hybrid Old Roses are, in a way, the original English roses. They combine the charm of the true old roses such as Damask or Gallica roses, with the qualities of modern varieties. These varieties are ery variable in their habit and temperament, and they mostly display beautiful shades of roses such as, intense crimson in Darcey Bussel or violet lilac in Young Lycidas. They also boast a beautiful fragrance typical of old roses. They are, as a whole, small bushy plants that bloom several times in the season. They easily integrate into all gardens and blend wonderfully with all other plants. If you have enough space, plant them in groups of 3 subjects to create a single large bush, the effect is guaranteed to be astounding.
