Beautiful rose bush. The changing colours are stunning and it still has a few flowers...

Description

'Aprikola' is a rose from the Rigo series, vigorous, very floriferous, very useful for flowering flower beds, slopes and low walls or for living in pots on terraces and balconies. You can also use them to create pretty borders. The Rigo roses are brand new creations from W. Kordes and Sons, robust, very healthy with abundant and continuous flowering. 'Aprikola' has medium-sized, full flowers grouped in apricot bouquets, turning to a bright apricot and pink colour as they bloom. They emit a fruity and spicy fragrance.

The ADR is the label of the German Federation of Rose Breeders. The ADR designation is only granted to varieties that have passed the strictest controls in the world. The plants are tested simultaneously at 10 different locations, in various soil and climate conditions for several years. The tests focus on hardiness, perennial character, and flowering without the use of any pesticides.

Planting and care

To install your potted rose, work the soil to a depth of 25 cm (10in), crumble the soil well, and place a base amendment such as dried blood or dehydrated horn at the bottom of the planting hole. Position your plant, freed from its pot, covering the top of the root ball with 3 cm (1in) of soil. Fill in the hole and water generously to eliminate air pockets. During dry weather, it is necessary to water regularly for a few weeks to facilitate root growth. Also, remember to provide your rose with special rose fertiliser to stimulate flowering in the plants.

Roses are often stained or unsightly at the end of summer, but this is not a problem for their development. These stains are not harmful to the rose; it is a natural phenomenon.
