Thanks to the individuals (order preparation & shipping service), the rose bush received is healthy. More information

This hybrid tea rose produces perfectly formed flowers of 15 cm (6in), with a fruity raspberry fragrance, in a beautiful orange colour when they bloom, gradually turning to a warm pink as they open. They bloom from June to October on an upright bush that reaches a height of 85 cm (34in), and it also produces young coppery and shiny leaves that are very decorative, eventually becoming dark green. This variety looks stunning as a background in flower beds, and it also adapts well to pot cultivation and provides excellent long-lasting cut flowers.

Description

The 'Anne Vanderlove' Bush Rose is a hybrid variety of large-flowered tea rose with a very warm colour accompanied by a delicious fruity fragrance with notes of raspberry. Its perfect roses, with their orange petals gradually turning pink, slowly open from very compact buds among very decorative coppery young shoots. This bush, which blooms continuously from June to October, will be perfect in a small flowerbed, and its flowers are very beautiful in a vase. It also performs very well in pots.

The 'Anne Vanderlove' Rose, bred by Michel Adam, was introduced in 2012 by NIRP International. It belongs to the modern tea hybrids, recognisable by the beautiful turbinate shape and very regular form of their flowers. The bush, with an erect habit, reaches about 85-90 cm (34-35in) in height and 50 cm (20in) in width. Its double flowers with 45 petals,  measuring 15 cm (6in) across, are particularly long-lasting in a vase. The petals are tightly packed and slightly turned outwards at the edge. Their colour changes from bright salmon orange to salmon pink over time, with the centre of the flower warmed by a more golden hue. The branches, sturdy and equipped with large prickles, bear an abundant, glossy foliage with large toothed leaflets, changing from coppery red when young to dark green. The flowers are solitary, carried by very strong long stems. They emit an intense rose scent with fruity notes. The plant is leafless in winter.

This 'Anne Vanderlove' Tea Rose, with its flamboyant elegance in flowering, deserves a prominent place in a flowerbed. Some light-flowering perennial plants (Autumn Asters, Foxgloves, Chamomiles, Penstemons), as well as Lady's Mantle or grasses like Hordeum jubatum, are ideal for enhancing its beauty and accompanying it late in the season. For example, pair it with 'Rozanne' Geraniums, Nepeta 'Walker's Low', and blue or white Bellflowers. It will also look great as a standalone plant as well as in a large pot on your terrace or balcony. Its flowers make very sumptuous bouquets, in the company of peonies and white lilacs.

Planting and care

To plant your 'Anne Vanderlove' rose, work the soil to a depth of 40 cubic cm, crumble the soil well and place a base amendment such as dried blood or dehydrated horn at the bottom of the planting hole. Position your young plant, covering the graft point with 3 cm (1in) of soil, fill in the hole and water generously to eliminate air pockets. In dry weather, it is necessary to water regularly for a few weeks to facilitate root establishment. Also, remember to provide your rose with special rose fertiliser that stimulates flowering of the plants.
