Very pleasant fragrance, and a really strong rose bush, we planted it in a south-facing part of the garden surrounded by walls, it gets extremely hot there, and yet it has thrived this summer with minimal watering. It grows slowly, but in less than a year, it has already produced flowers." Analyse du texte traduit : - "rose bush" est utilisé pour traduire "rosier", qui fait référence à un type spécifique de plante. - "thrived" est utilisé pour traduire "passer", dans le sens de s'épanouir ou prospérer. - "produced" est utilisé pour traduire "faire", dans le sens de créer ou produire des fleurs.

Description

Rosa Le Roi de Coeur (Starzored) is a modern hybrid tea rose that is disease-resistant and highly floriferous from May to October. Its bright red flowers emit a beautiful fruity scent. Its turbinated roses are perfectly highlighted by superb dark green foliage, which remains healthy. It is beautiful in a border and performs very well in a pot. Its flowers are charming in a vase.

Rosa Le Roi de Coeur is a modern bush rose created by Bernard Panozzo and distributed by La Star de Doué, a rose breeder for four generations located in Doué la Fontaine, the rose capital. This bushy shrub reaches an average height of 90cm (35in) at maturity. It has a rapid growth rate. It produces strong, thorny branches that bear foliage cut into large, thick, and toothed leaflets, with a shiny dark green colour. From May-June, the plant produces waves of flowers measuring 8 to 9cm (3 to 4in), with a shape that is both turbinated and elongated, characteristic of hybrid tea roses. The flowers are solitary or gathered in small bouquets at the end of long shoots from the current year or by those that emerge from 2-year-old stems. The roses will continue to bloom until October if faded flowers are regularly removed. The foliage is particularly healthy. It is deciduous in winter.

Rosa Le Roi de Coeur is aptly named. It is a charming rose that will look wonderful in flower beds, or in pots on balconies or patios. In the garden, it can be planted with Vitis vinifera 'Purpurea', or a pretty variegated Virginia creeper like Ampelopsis glandulosa 'Elegans'. It is magnificent planted in groups of 3, placed in the centre of a flower bed, or combined with white or red roses. It also blends well with light shrubs, perennials, and annuals such as Gaura, paniculate baby's breath, bellflowers, paniculate phlox, or tall foxgloves. One can also plant an herbaceous clematis with blue flowers such as Clematis heracleifolia or a Sollya heterophylla in mild climates at its base. Its roses are stunning in bouquets, paired with lilies in summer or asters in autumn.

Planting and care

Plant in a sunny or partially shaded location. Modern roses are tolerant, but do not like excessive limestone. They will adapt to any garden as long as the soil is well worked, not too heavy, and sufficiently rich. To plant your rose, work the soil by crumbling it and add fertiliser to the bottom of the planting hole (dried blood or dehydrated horn, for example). Water generously after planting to remove any air pockets. Water regularly for a few weeks to facilitate root growth. Provide your rose with special rose fertiliser that stimulates flowering. Avoid pruning too short during the first two years.

Care

Pruning instructions Avoid pruning too short during the first two years. Pruning is essential for flowering. It is done in three steps: 1. Maintenance pruning: regularly shorten the branches that have flowered during the season. To encourage the reblooming of perpetual roses, remove the faded flowers along with their stem, leaving 2 or 3 leaves. 2. Preparatory pruning in autumn: light pruning that anticipates the proper spring pruning. It is not recommended in regions with cold winters in order to avoid weakening the bush. 3. Spring pruning: in February-March, when the buds have developed into shoots 2 to 3cm (1in) long, trim the young strong branches by a quarter of their length. Pruning always aims to clear the heart of the bush and remove dead wood, diseased branches, and weak shoots. The most vigorous branches, usually 3 to 6 well-positioned ones, will be kept to maintain an attractive habit. Always prune at a slant, ½ cm or 1cm (0.4in) above an outward-facing bud.
