This rose bush disappointed me for 2 reasons: the color of its flowers is much less vibrant than I had hoped and than the photos led me to imagine; the flowers in question are of a rather modest size. That being said, there is nothing to complain about when it comes to its growth, which is fast and without any issues. Analysis of the translated text: - No spelling errors or grammatical mistakes were found. - The translation accurately conveys the meaning and context of the original text. - The tone of the original text is maintained in the translation. - The idiomatic expression "rien à redire" is translated as "there is nothing to complain about". - The word "taille" is correctly translated as "size" in the context of flower size. - The word "évolution" is correctly translated as "growth" in the context of the rose bush's development.

Description

The Orangerie Rose, recently created in Germany by the rose breeder Kordes, is a bush rose both nostalgic and flamboyant, perfectly disease-free, ideal for adding a colourful touch, almost exotic, to any dull flower beds. This compact and upright bush produces clusters of double flowers, medium-sized for a floribunda, displaying a pure, intense, deep orange colour without being garish. It is adorned with perfectly healthy foliage, a dark green that perfectly highlights its orange flowers throughout the beautiful season. It is a rose full of dynamism and good humor, without worries, to be highlighted in the garden or in a large pot on the terrace.

The Orangerie 'KORgeriora' Rose forms a short but sturdy bush in just a few years, with an upright and compact but not stiff habit. Formed of thorny stems, it reaches on average 70 cm (28in) in height and 50 cm (20in) in width. The plant is adorned with perfectly healthy and very ornamental foliage, a beautiful shiny dark green in summer. Its flowering is abundant from June to September. The buds open into well-organized, turbinated roses. They bloom into wide corollas of 7-8 cm (3in), well double, with a slightly old-fashioned style, gathered in bouquets of 5 to 7 flowers. Their colour, an absolutely uniform orange, is accompanied by a very light fragrance. This variety apparently tolerates both cold and heat, as well as rain. It has obtained the highly selective German ADR label, which rewards the most disease-resistant rose varieties.

Floribunda roses allow for the creation of beautiful small hedges, planted mixed at the edge of the terrace or in small shrub flower beds. Associate them with abelias, nandinas, or caryopteris for example. They are good companions for paniculate phlox and tall gypsophila. The modest size, good health, and unique personality of Orangerie make it an interesting variety for all gardens, even small ones, and for growing in large pots. Its use is versatile, according to the desires of each gardener: in a monochrome rose bed, composed of three plants as its colour can be difficult to match, or in the company of white varieties ('Marie Pavie', 'Swanny') or mauve ones ('Blue Boy', 'Pacific Dream', 'Minerva'). It will blend well with light and easy-to-grow plants such as perennial geraniums, foxgloves, English carnations, or asters. And its roses are very beautiful in bouquets.

Planting and care

Plant the 'Orangerie' floribunda rose from November to March, in ordinary, well-loosened and free-draining soil. Roses prefer clayey soils, rather heavy than light. In soil that is too sandy, too compact or too dry in summer, it is preferable to bury compost, decomposed manure or leaf-mould at the bottom of the planting hole. However, this rose dreads waterlogged soils in winter. Place it in a sunny position, at most in partial shade. Roses are greedy plants, a specific rose fertiliser application will be beneficial when the foliage emerges, then regularly during the entire flowering period.

To encourage re-blooming, regularly remove faded flowers. Floribunda rose varieties are more vigorous and floriferous than large-flowered rose varieties. Therefore, the stems should be pruned to about a quarter of their length (4 to 6 buds from the base of the stem) at the end of winter. Always prune above an outward-facing bud, so that the bush thickens and the branches do not become tangled in the centre of the shrub.
