Planted since April 2024. Beautiful growth with very tall stems from planting, but no flower. I discovered traces of a dried cut flower arrangement in late 2025—I must have missed the hidden flowering... Great hope for the next season! P.S.: Advice for the promesse de fleurs website: if you could indicate how long it is estimated for the plant to flower, it could help our choice when ordering.

Description
Enkianthus campanulatus, also known as the Pink Bellflowered Andromeda, is an unusual bush with flowers in the shape of small bells in a pinkish flesh colour gathered in pendulous clusters. It blooms from May to June. It quickly reaches a height of 1.50m (4ft 11in) and with age, can reach up to 2m (6ft 7in) in height.
Enkianthus has deciduous foliage that is bright green and turns bright red in autumn. It requires an acidic soil and should be planted in peat soil.
Originally from Japan and southern China, it has good hardiness and should be planted in part shade in a humus-bearing, moist and light soil. Easy to grow, it is however sensitive to cold and drying winds. Enkianthus campanulatus is cultivated in flower beds, woods, copses or thickets. It is suitable for small gardens as well as terraces, placed in pots.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
