Our range of red Hibiscus. Only the marsh Hibiscus, such as Hibiscus moscheutos 'Red', and botanical species like Hibiscus coccineus, produce true red flowers. Large and vibrant, they bring an exotic touch and are spectacular in wet areas of the garden or in pots. Discover Hibiscus moscheutos 'Planet Griotte' and its large cherry red flowers measuring up to 25 cm in diameter. The varieties 'Midnight Marvel' and 'Giant Red' combine red flowers with purple foliage, creating a quite fantastic colour combination. Among the botanical species, there is Hibiscus acetosella, adorned with beautiful red flowers and Japanese maple-like purple foliage. For Hibiscus syriacus or rose of Sharon, a few rare varieties like 'Duc de Brabant' produce flowers that approach red while remaining more pink than red. Marsh Hibiscus like rich soils that remain moist, even waterlogged, from spring to the end of summer, and drier in winter. They thrive in full sun and require regular watering. For maintenance, it is recommended to cut the stems to ground level at the end of winter to encourage vigorous new growth in spring.
