Hoherias are very beautiful bushes native to New Zealand, quite rare in cultivation, but particularly well adapted to the coastal facade of our country which they appreciate for its mildness and humidity. These bushes are magnificent when their pure white and lightly scented summer flowers appear and cover the vegetation at a time of year when few bushes are in flower. This is especially the case with Hoheria sexstylosa 'Snow White' with an even more abundant and impressive flowering. With a narrow habit and flexible branches that dance in the wind, all adorned with beautiful semi-evergreen glossy foliage, these bushes remain beautiful even in winter. Relatively hardy, tolerant of sea spray and fast-growing, Hoherias make excellent informal or flowering hedge bushes by the sea. But don't limit yourself to coastal gardens, as they also deserve to be tried in all our humid regions that are not too cold in winter.
