Our range of fragrant shrubby honeysuckles. These ornamental bushes are cherished for their generous and fragrant flowering, which perfumes gardens in winter, spring, or summer, depending on the variety. Lonicera fragrantissima, known as winter honeysuckle, offers small, highly fragrant white flowers, sometimes as early as January. Lonicera x purpusii ‘Winter Beauty’ is similar, with its very fragrant cream-white flowers abundantly blooming in February. Also discover Lonicera syringantha, with its pale pink, delightfully scented spring flowers, reminiscent of lilac. Rarely planted in gardens, Lonicera standishii, Standish's honeysuckle, is a deciduous bush that offers a highly fragrant white winter flowering on its bare branches. It is valued for its hardiness and ability to brighten the garden in winter.
Shrubby honeysuckles are not demanding. A sunny to partially shaded exposure and well-drained soil are sufficient for them. They tolerate drought and require light pruning after flowering to maintain a harmonious habit.
