A set of 10, 60 cm (24in) long yellow stakes for plant labels. They are made of high-density, sturdy polythene and their pointed end easily pushes into the ground. At the top, 4 prongs hold a 'cross' style label firmly in place (sold separately).

These 60 cm (24in) tall yellow 'cross stakes' are perfect for setting up plant labels to identify plantings and sowings. They are sturdy, made of high-density polythene and their pointed end easily pushes into the soil. This model holds 'cross' plant labels with a cross-shaped slot in place. The cross stakes are sold in packs of 10.

Seed packets, as well as the printed bands and labels provided when purchasing plants, often deteriorate quickly due to a combination of sun and rain, with the plant names becoming quickly illegible. It is therefore often necessary to replace them with a more durable device, such as plastic labels carried by a stake planted in the ground nearby. Robust and rigid, rot-proof, cross stakes are made of a material that withstands the test of time and can therefore be reused many times. Their yellow colour, visible from a distance, prevents accidental hits from spades, rakes, or forks. The 'cross' labels, securely attached to the cross stake with the 4-prong attachment system, will remain in place even in windy or rainy weather.

Plant labelling systems are very useful accessories that every gardener will appreciate. In the vegetable garden, it is essential to identify lettuce, radish, or carrot seedlings, as well as different varieties of melons or squashes. In the ornamental garden, some perennials or bulbs disappear underground for a good part of the year and risk being accidentally hit by a spade or pickaxe if they have not been marked. Collectors of irises or grasses will appreciate being able to remember the names of the beautiful varieties they have planted. Enthusiasts of rare plants for which there is no common name can, thanks to the label that comes to the rescue of their memory, proudly present to their amazed visitors the Latin name of their latest acquisition. Finally, naming a plant is an excellent way to awaken children's interest in nature, in all its diversity.
