This Sisal Twine by La Cordeline is made from 100% natural and biodegradable plant fibre, known for its strength. Essential and versatile, decorative and discreet, this all-purpose twine is ideal for staking, training, aligning, tying, and securing all types of plants... It is available in a 200g ball, with a length of approximately 25m. Natural colour.
Sisal is the common name for several plants in the Agave family, including the Agave sisalana native to arid areas of Mexico. It is also the name given to the plant fibre found in their long leaves. This very durable fibre is used for making ropes, coarse and rustic fabrics, and carpets. However, when exposed to the elements, sisal fibre degrades quite quickly without leaving any residue in the environment. Sisal is now mainly cultivated in Africa, particularly in Mozambique, which exports its production to France.
Sold as a ball: diameter 3.5 mm, approximate length 25m

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
