Jute is a material that comes directly from the rigid and fibrous stems of a shrub called white jute, in Latin Corchorus capsularis. It is a plant of the mallow family, related to our hibiscus, native to the hot and humid regions of India. La Cordeline twine is made from raw, untreated fibre, simply woven. Weather-resistant, the jute twine can be reused several times before starting to degrade. The appearance of this twine is rustic, slightly fuzzy on the surface, while retaining an interesting flexibility. It can be easily cut with a pair of scissors, a sharp knife, or a cutter. Compostable, jute degrades naturally, leaving no residue in the environment.

This ball of jute twine will always be in the gardener's pocket, accompanying them to the vegetable garden to stake tomatoes, tall pole beans, cucumbers, and raspberries, to the ornamental garden to tie up a wayward vine or rambling rose, or to the orchard to support a branch heavy with fruits, for example, as it holds firmly without harming the most delicate stems. For artists, this flexible thread can be knitted and crocheted, knotted and woven in macramé, and it enhances scrapbooking and decorative objects, with the spirit of nature.

Approximate length 75m (246ft), diameter 2mm (0in).
