Jute is a material that comes directly from the rigid and fibrous stems of a bush called white jute, in Latin Corchorus capsularis. It is a plant of the Malvaceae family, related to our hibiscus, originating from the hot and humid regions of India. This La Cordeline string is made of a copper wire surrounded by raw, untreated, simply woven jute fibres. Resistant to weather and wear, the jute string with copper core can be reused several times before starting to degrade. This string has a rustic look, slightly fuzzy on the surface, which is enhanced by the precious shine of copper. It can be easily cut with a pair of strong scissors, a sharp knife or a cutter.
