Unlike the 'special carrot plates' (from another brand I believe), this plate seems sturdy and durable. I did a first series of sowings on it a few days ago. Everything seems optimal so far.

A black plastic growing tray with 104 small growing holes, ideal for sowing or transplanting young flower and vegetable plants. If you look after it properly, you'll be able to use it for at least 5 years. After use, store in a dark place. Watering can be done with a watering can fitted with a sprinkler head, or by capillary action, by placing a piece of carpet under the growing tray and wetting it regularly.

This 104-hole reusable seedling tray from Soparco is suitable for amateur and professional gardeners. Made from sturdy black plastic, it features 104 small growing cells in which it will be easy to sow or transplant young plants. You can sow your flowers and vegetables in them and store them in a bright and heated place. Once the seedlings are sufficiently developed, gently remove them from their cell and transplant them into pots or garden soil. You can reuse this seedling tray for at least five years with proper care. Store it away from light after use.

The growing tray measures 50 cm (20in) long by 33 cm (13in) wide and 4 cm (2in) high. It is made of black plastic material with a matte finish and is rigid enough to handle easily. It has 104 square-based growing cells measuring 4 cm (2in) in height by 3.2 cm (1in) inside length (equivalent to a volume of 23 cubic cm per cell), all in one piece. This makes filling the cells with potting soil easier to set up, sow, handle, care for, water, and transplant the seedlings. Watering can be done using a watering can with a fine spray or through capillary action, for example, by placing a piece of damp carpet under the seedling tray. This way, the plant will be protected from excessive watering while receiving a regular water supply with a consistently moist substrate.

This model is available in different sizes. From the 15-hole tray with 8cm (3in) cells to the 260-hole tray with 2.2cm (1in) cells to meet every gardener's needs. Directions for use Place your sowing tray on a suitable support: table, shelf... Fill each of the culture cells with special seed compost. Sow your seeds following the instructions for each plant, and water lightly. Store it in a bright and heated location. Ensure that the compost always remains slightly moist but not waterlogged. Watering can be done by capillarity, for example, by placing a piece of carpet that you can moisten under the sowing tray. This way, the young plant will be protected against aggressive watering and benefit from a regular water supply with a moist substrate. You will also find a 2cm (1in) high saucer suitable for all recoverable Soparco sowing trays, allowing for long-lasting substrate humidification—reference: XIOA0001 (Saucer for recoverable sowing tray). Once the seedlings are well developed, gently remove them from each culture cell to transplant them individually into a larger pot or directly into the ground. Fill with a substrate suitable for the plant (compost, a mixture of soil and compost, etc.). Water to firm the soil around the roots. The sowing tray is reusable. Store it away from sunlight in a dry location.
