This La Cordeline stainless steel wire is rigid, very robust, but flexible and easy to work with has many uses in the garden and on the terrace to attach or support plants, as well as in the home, to create various decorative objects and even fashion accessories and jewellery. It can be used for training, staking, and tying all types of plants, or even attaching hanging baskets. It has a decorative grey-silver colour and can be used in your small DIY projects or crafts. The spool unrolls to approximately 50m of 0.8mm diameter stainless steel wire.
0.8mm stainless steel wire is both flexible and resistant to tension, allowing it to be used, in double or triple braided strands if necessary, to support the weight of a hanging basket, branches, or the growth of a climbing plant. It can guide plants or shape their habit as desired. It can be used in interior or exterior decoration to create all kinds of intricate, rounded, or square shapes thanks to its flexibility. Its strength also allows it to be shaped into a chandelier, on which various trinkets can be hung, for example. It is also a very trendy material, used to make ethnic jewellery.
Stainless steel is an alloy based on iron and carbon to which at least 10.5% chromium has been added. It is this latter metal that gives it, by forming a thin layer of chromium oxide on the surface, good resistance to corrosion and oxidation in the form of rust.
