I see this duo emerge from the ground for the first time and I really like the result. I recommend this combination.

Description

With this duo, everything is about the harmony of contrast! The small white and delicate flowers of the 'Thalia' daffodil mix with the elegant purple-lilac cups of the 'Passionale' tulip. Informality and sophistication come together for a delightful spring spectacle.

The Yin Yang duo is composed of:

- 10x 'Thalia' triandrus Narcissus: an old variety with timeless simplicity. Each stem carries 2 to 3 delicate flowers, a milky white colour, and a delightful fragrance. 'Thalia' forms a hardy and vigorous clump of about 35cm (14in) in height during its April-May flowering. It will naturally multiply over the years, without any maintenance. Perfect for mass planting, suitable for container and rock garden cultivation, it will also be superb in a spring bouquet.

- 10x Triumph Tulips 'Passionale': single flower, classic shape, narrow cup in a brilliant purple-lilac colour. Simple, elegant, and weather-resistant. Approximately 45cm (18in) in height when in bloom.

This duo finds its place in large beds, borders, rock gardens, and flower beds. It can also be imaginatively used in pots or planters, enhancing balconies and terraces. It will perfectly accompany large perennials and is ideal for creating elegant bouquets. Please note, daffodil stems contain a substance that causes other flowers to wilt quickly. This adverse effect can be mitigated by dipping the ends of the daffodil stems in warm water for 1 to 2 minutes. Furthermore, if your tulips open too quickly, you can add two to three ice cubes to the vase each day. Only use a small amount of water, just enough to cover the bottom is sufficient!

Planting and care

Plant your bulbs as soon as possible in well-drained soil. Loosen the soil deeply. Plant at a depth of 10cm (4in) (Bulbs should be covered with twice their height of soil). Space the bulbs a few cm apart, ensuring they do not touch. Choose a sunny location for better flowering. After flowering, cut the flower stalks and allow the leaves to completely dry before cutting them.
