It started to emerge from the ground 2 weeks ago and looks healthy. And this despite a very cold winter, so I can't wait to see it grow!

Planting and care

Alliums are easy-to-grow. Plant them preferably before the end of October so that they have time to establish themselves well. They fear moisture. Offer them a sunny spot in well-drained soils, even rocky ones. Plant larger bulbs at a depth of 10 or 15cm (4 or 6in), spaced 15cm (6in) apart. Plant smaller bulbs at a depth of 10cm (4in), spaced 7cm (3in) apart. They are undemanding, but do prefer poor soils.
