Perfect!!! Bulbs of very good quality, nice and firm without any signs of diseases or injuries. Be careful, one bulb is in bad condition.

Description

Tulipa 'Juliette' is a tall, charming and vibrant tulip. Its corollas can reach 15cm (6in) in diameter when fully open. They are golden yellow, adorned with small random crimson flames on its cilium. Not only are they beautiful, they are also lightly scented. They faithfully return each year, as they naturalise easily. It is a vigorous variety, with strong and weather-resistant stems. It blooms in the middle or towards the end of spring. It is an exceptional flower for bouquets and adds a sculptural touch to flower beds.

'Juliette' is a Darwin hybrid tulip belonging to the Liliaceae family. Of horticultural origin, it is currently classified in Division 4, which is characterised by large single flowers with an oval shape, appearing in the middle of the flowering season. The flowers are carried by long and weather-resistant stems. Tulips in this group are the most cultivated for the cut flower trade. 'Juliette' will reach 30 to 60cm (12 to 24in) in height when in flower. The large flowers sit on top of sturdy stems, high above the broadly lanceolate foliage. The flowers are elongated, elegant, and fiery, boasting a golden yellow shade with small crimson flames. The colour is enhanced by the thick and slightly waxy texture of the petals. Flowering occurs in May, and each flower lives for several days before fading.

'Juliette' is suitable for large beds, borders, rockeries, pots, and containers. It is perfect with narcissus and other tulips in shades of white, yellow, or orange, creating a vibrant spring harmony. It also pairs well with alchemilla, Corsican hellebores, and euphorbias. It complements tall perennials perfectly. The flowers are ideal for creating elegant bouquets. Only use a little water in a vase. If your tulips open too quickly, you can add two to three ice cubes to the vase each day.

Planting and care

Plant the bulbs in autumn, from September to December, at a depth of 15cm (6in), spacing them 10 cm (4in) apart. Plant in ordinary, slightly acidic, neutral, or slightly alkaline, loose, well-worked, and well-draining soil. Never add poorly decomposed manure or compost to the planting soil, as this could cause the bulbs to rot. The 'Juliette' tulip will thrive in moist to dry soil. Plant it in a sunny or partially shaded location. After flowering, it is wise to remove the fruits to avoid exhausting the plant.
