Tulipa Fiery Club - Multiple flowering Tulip

The 'Fiery Club' Tulip is a multi-flowered variety, each bulb producing up to 14 single flowers that bloom in succession, extending its flowering period. They are small, but intensely reddish-purple and shiny. It is a late variety that blooms at the end of the tulip season. Stunning when planted en masse, beautiful in homemade bouquets. 

The 'Fiery Club' Tulip belongs to the Liliaceae family. Of horticultural origin, introduced in 2007 in the Netherlands, it is currently classified in Division 5 of late single tulips, whose main characteristic is to bloom late in the season. The 'Fiery Club' variety will reach a height of about 45 cm when in bloom. Its widely lanceolate, slightly glaucous green leaves emerge from the ground in spring and dry out some time after flowering, when the bulb enters a dormant state. This tulip blooms in May, or even at the beginning of June depending on the climate, making this variety useful in the garden to accompany the first summer blooms. The flowers measure approximately 5.5 cm long and have a classic egg shape. Their colour is dark violet red on the outside, the interior has a blue background striped with violet,  and slight white edge towards the top. Each bulb is theoretically capable of producing up to 14 flowers.

Mix this adorable multi-flowered 'Fiery Club' tulip with the variety 'Flaming Club'. You can plant them in small groups among forget-me-nots and pink muscari 'Pink Sunrise' for example. To hide the gap in summer, consider planting among perennials: hardy geraniums, catnips, and agastaches will be good companions. Late single tulips are often planted in gardens. These flowers are ideal for bringing spring colour to pots or sunny flower beds. Consider the height and flowering period when designing your flower beds, as these parameters can vary significantly from one cultivar to another. It is a good idea to plant a few extra bulbs as they make beautiful cut flowers that last a long time in a vase.
