Our range of trailing Begonias. Stunning in hanging baskets, planters or window boxes, these begonias form cascades of flowers from spring until the first frosts. Their leader is the Begonia 'Illumination Apricot', prized for its large double flowers in warm tones of apricot and yellow. 'Illumination Scarlet' is a classy red version. Their trailing habit works wonders in elevated displays. The 'Belleconia Snow' selection offers 5 cm double flowers of pure white. The Begonia pendula Red offers a very long flowering period in a vibrant red. The double variety 'Chardonnay' brings a lot of softness with its pale apricot-yellow, perfect for romantic settings. Discover all our varieties on these pages.

Trailing begonias are tender tuberous perennials, generally grown as annuals in our climate. Their height is modest, between 20 and 30 cm, but their stems trail for 40 to 60 cm. They prefer a partially shaded position, sheltered from intense heat, and a light, rich, well-drained growing medium. Water regularly without waterlogging, and apply fertiliser every fortnight during the season to support flowering. Bring the tubers under cover away from frost in late autumn.
