Lettuce is the typical leaf vegetable. Easy to grow, it requires little space in the vegetable garden. We love the crispness and freshness of its leaves. Among the many varieties, we will mention in particular the Batavia, including the Ice Queen, the Romaine, the Butterhead Lettuces, the Oakleaf Lettuce, Cut Lettuces, etc. Lettuce seeds are small and are sown from February to August. The earliest sowings will be done in a greenhouse to be harvested throughout the summer. Lettuce is sensitive to high temperatures, so be sure to plant it in partial shade or interplant with taller vegetables that will protect them with their shade.

You'll adore them!
