Description

The annual improving mixture is a selection of 7 species of annual plants whose association improves and restructures the soil. This green fertilizer is sown from April to July, at a rate of 10 grams per m2, and is mown from July to October.

This mixture is composed of: Forage pea (25%) - Buckwheat (25%) - Common vetch (20%) - Yellow lupin (10%) - Crimson clover (10%) - Egyptian clover (7%) - Phacelia (3%)

Highly used in permaculture, green fertilizers have numerous benefits: they enrich and loosen the soil while preventing the establishment of adventives. They also have the advantage of forming a vegetative cover that protects loamy soils from rain compaction and sandy soils from leaching. They can be sown throughout the year, and can be mowed before seed formation to incorporate them through shallow digging or left in place as mulch.
