Organic farming
Dried blood, a by-product of abattoirs, is an organic fertiliser particularly rich in nitrogen. Its diffusion in the soil is rapid, giving it a 'boost' effect on plant growth. Versatile, it is particularly suitable for the cultivation of leafy vegetables and works wonders in spring to make the short grass meadow green again. This fertiliser can be used in organic agriculture and does not burn plant roots.

The Dried Blood 'Promesse de Fleurs' is an organic fertilizer particularly rich in nitrogen that is preferably used in spring or during planting to stimulate vegetation. Its diffusion in the soil is rapid, giving it a 'boost' effect, with visible results in a few days. It is suitable for all annual or perennial flowers as well as bushes. Dried blood is particularly suitable for leafy vegetables and works wonders in spring to revive the short grass meadow. This fertilizer is usable in organic agriculture and does not burn plant roots. The 500-gram bag is resealable, making it an ideal packaging for small gardens and flower pots.

Dried blood is a by-product of slaughterhouses that poses no danger to plants. It comes in the form of a dark red-brown powder that is very easy to use, either mixed with the soil at the time of planting or simply scratched at the base of established plants. Its formulation is NPK 13-0-0. This means it contains 13% nitrogen (of which 12.5% is of organic origin), an element that promotes the development of non-reproductive aerial parts of the plant, especially leaves and stems. Dried blood also contains iron, which plays an important role in plant photosynthesis. It is very complementary to crushed horn, whose nitrogen is released very gradually into the soil. It also promotes soil biological activity and the development of beneficial microorganisms. It is important to respect the indicated doses, as nitrogen excesses are often more harmful than deficiencies: oversized vegetation makes plants fragile against the wind, and they become targets for predators and diseases. Dried blood is therefore particularly recommended for fertilizing leafy vegetables, perennials, the short grass meadow, or stimulating the vegetative growth of roses and weak bushes in spring. It is also a valuable aid in very poor soils. This nitrogen fertilizer is suitable for soils well supplied with phosphorus and potassium. Otherwise, supplement with phosphorus and potassium.
