Deschampsia

Perennial grass forming compact tufts, Deschampsia is among the best small evergreen grasses. Stunning in mass plantings, they bear spikes of flowers, shiny and silky that, when they fade, become silver. Easy to grow, Deschampsia love the sun, well-ventilated areas, they thrive in any type of soil that is neither too dry nor too wet and readily self-seed.
