The citrus fruit tribe, in Latin: Citrus, belonging to the rutaceae family, comes in a multitude of varieties unanimously appreciated for their deliciously fragrant flowering with orange blossom scents, and their tasty, vitamin-rich and flavourful fruits.

These evergreen bushes, synonymous with sun and mild climates, are most often grown in pots, which allows them to be protected from frost in winter. Citrus trees, however, need more distinct temperature variations between winter and summer, rather than constant heat. Please note that except for Calamondin, citrus trees do not tolerate dry air in our heated interiors. You can overwinter them in a cold greenhouse or orangery. Your lemon trees and other mandarin trees, etc. require a lot of watering, a slightly chalky soil, and plenty of fertiliser.

You'll adore them!
