A striking grass native to Asia, Miscanthus is THE most popular contemporary perennial to provide structure to gardens and green spaces. It forms tall vertical stems ranging from 1m (3ft) to 3m (10ft) in height depending on the varieties. At the end of summer, it produces a rich display of pink, red, or silver flowers depending on the varieties. It can grow anyywhere, requires little and only needs cutting back in late winter. There are numerous uses for Miscanthus as it perfectly suits modern gardens, mixed borders, a wild or nature or even exotic gardens.
