Rudbeckia is a perennial plant from the Asteraceae family, as its brightly coloured daisy-like flowers with a prominent and almost black centre remind us. Whether perennial or annual, hardy and undemanding, Rudbeckia is easy to grow and incredibly generous in summer. Perennial varieties, such as Rudbeckia fulgida, generally offer a yellow flowering from August to early October, while annuals (like Rudbeckia hirta) come in a wider range of colours including orange, red, rust, or brown, and bloom from July onwards.

An excellent border plant, Rudbeckia also comes in compact and bushy varieties, well-suited for pot cultivation to decorate balconies and terraces. It thrives in sunlight and prefers rich, slightly heavy, and yet fresh soil.

You'll adore them!
