Our range of Dyckia, architectural plants ideal for rockeries, pots, and dry gardens in mild climates. Like Dyckia 'Brittle Star', these magnificent terrestrial bromeliads are characterised by their compact rosettes of rigid and thorny leaves, often edged with sharp teeth.

Dyckia 'Burgundy Ice' attracts attention with its dark purple foliage with silvery reflections. The 'Grand Marnier' cultivar is surprising with its silvery starfish-like appearance. 'Pale Rider' forms a rosette in shades of lavender grey; 'Keswick' offers bright green foliage, adorned with decorative toothed margins. As for Dyckia 'Cherry Cola', it seduces with its intense reddish tones, particularly pronounced in full sun.

Dyckias are grown like Mangaves. They are frost-sensitive, their hardiness ranges from -4 to -8°C depending on the varieties, in dry soil. These bromeliads appreciate a sunny exposure and well-drained, even poor and rocky soil. Their drought tolerance and exotic appearance are appreciated in coastal rockeries and decorative pots.
