Annual Lobelias or Lobelias (Lobelia erinus) are herbaceous plants whose generous flowering, reminiscent of swarms of small butterflies, illuminates window boxes and hanging baskets from June until the first frost. Trailing, carpeting or bushy, depending on the varieties, lobelias also come in many colours: from the magnificent violet-blue of Lobelia erinus 'Crystal Palace' to the dazzling whiteness of 'White Cascade'. You can cultivate them in indirect sun or partial shade, pots or hanging baskets, and pair them with Petunias or Calibrachoas. Remember to encourage and support their long flowering and apply fertiliser during the season.
