Many hydrangeas, or hydrangeas, are capable of growing in the sun. While it is preferable to spare them from too much sun which could damage the foliage, good brightness will help them develop beautiful inflorescences and maintain a dense habit, as with paniculate hydrangeas, and sometimes take on intense autumn colours, as with Hydrangea quercifolia or 'Twist and Shout' hydrangea.
