Our range of Iceland Poppy seeds (Papaver nudicaule) allows you to sow these perennials with their delicate and luminous flowers, such as the very popular 'Summer Breeze Mixed' and 'Wind Song Mix'. Often grown as an annual or biennial, the Iceland Poppy forms low clumps of bluish-green foliage, from which emerge long stems bearing satiny corollas all summer long in shades of white, yellow, orange, pink or red, suitable for flower beds, rockeries, borders and cut flower arrangements.
Among our other seed mixes, discover 'Pulchinella Mixed' which rarely exceeds 25 cm in height; its sturdy stems bear large, single-coloured flowers in a palette of bright hues, highly visible in borders or containers. 'Artist's Glory' offers varied shades on flexible stems, above finely divided foliage, to punctuate flower beds with light touches.
All these nudicaulous poppies prefer climates with cool summers, a gently sunny exposure, and light, humus-bearing, well-drained soil. They are sown from February to April, directly in situ or in pots with very early transplanting; they are capable of flowering in the year of sowing.
